A dream of Paris

A dream of Paris

A Poem by Jonathan Torres

Walking down Paris' streets of lights and the aroma of coffee hits my nose
Fresh linens i see to purchase for my home
Home where my love sleeps peacefully
Dreaming of our romances along Paris' cobble stoned streets
Here i come to surprise him with my goods
Take off my shoes and climb into bed
Snuggling next to lui
Kisses upon kisses is how he greets me
Holding me closely to his warm body
Out of nowhere he gets up and gets dressed
Before I know it we're out the door admiring the rich culture of Paris
Holding hands
Forever in love...
I wake from my ever dreaming sleep
Check the time...it's two thirty in the morning
I then grasp the space next to me to feel it empty
Just sheets crumbled up from my amazingly visual dream
Just a dream...
Just a dream...
"One day it shall come true" I say
