Trapped

Just read it, okay?

I feel like I'm trapped

Inside my skin.

I feel like I'm drowning,

and they're yelling, swim!

I feel like nobody listens to me,

I feel like a ship, lost at sea.

I feel like I'm chained

To this life I have chosen

My last, final words still on my tongue, frozen.

I feel like laughing.

I feel like crying.

I feel like giving up,

but I just keep on trying.

Oh, do you feel like this too?

Like a tangle of emotions

Like you're drowning, drowning

in all of the oceans.

Do you feel like a bomb,

ticking down the time,

until you explode

with no reason or rhyme.

I hope you've read this all,

but again, maybe not.

But meanwhile, my bones

will be left here to rot.
