Angel

Angel

A Poem by Wish
"

Aren't we all angels?

"
Maybe I'm an angel,
Stuck in the wrong world
Living on this dying earth,
Smokestacks, smoke all curled.
Maybe I'm an angel,
And somewhere, up in heav'n
there's a little earthling girl
Who should be here instead.
I wish I was an angel,
I really, truly do.
It would explain
this sad, sad thought;
the feeling,
something's wrong.
I don't think I'm an angel,
I'm not good enough for that.
I'm too caught up in these earthly things,
Of stuff that can be gat.
But maybe you're an angel,
The reader of this verse.
Maybe we're all angels,
and this life here on earth
is our eternal curse.

Author's Note

Wish
I really, truly think that we're all angels. Or going to be. ALL of us. Just think about it.
