Disaster Zone

My room is quite a frightful place..!

My bedroom is a frightful place

There isn't any single space


That isn't covered in a mess

Or that's been cluttered any less


There's magazines I've never read

And piles of clothing on the bed


There's dirty clothes strewn everywhere

A chocolate bar covered in hair


There's cardboard boxes, flower pots

Rubber bands and pairs of socks


There's crumpled paper on the table

And underneath, there's tangled cable.


The closet's worse, I have no doubt.

My stuff is nearly falling out!


There's other garbage on the floor.

I can hardly make it to the door!


I think I've finally had enough.

I really should pick some stuff up...


My room's a sorry sight to see.

I'll clean it up!

Oh my gosh, this is awesome! XD Eventually as in never lol. I swear this explains pretty much EVERYBODY. I, myself, don't know how my room gets so messy when I literally sit around in one spot all day on the computer. O_o But somehow it decides to explode over night lol

haha this was funny, I enjoyed reading it and I like the rhythm and rhyme you used, it flowed very well. xD the chocolate candy bar covered with hair kinda grossed me out lol The way you described the room I can see it clearly, and I can almost see the person laying on their bed looking everything over and thinking this poem in their head lol

This too would be my room. But alas the only thing in it (after having been homeless for so long) that would be a constant mess would be the bed. It would and does go unmade for I see not a reason to make that which I will only mess up again in that same day. This piece though. Is brilliantly written and sends the reader through I virtual maze as they delve further into the poem. Your room unfolds before the eye as each stanza reveals yet another layer of the chaos beyond the bedroom door. Perhaps this is a window into your actual room, perhaps not, but it is nonetheless a window into many a bedroom I am sure. Very well done.
