Long have I searched for home, you see-
Long have I searched for home.

I’ve traveled by both land and sea;
Long have I searched for home.

I’ve caught the wind beneath my sails,
Traversed the great unknown

And yet, although I wander much,
Still find myself alone.

I’ve clambered down each mountain pass,
Turned over every stone.

Scoured the hills and hidden glens;
Sought where I might be known.

But though I’ve long since wandered thus,
Found none to call my own.

So therefore, onwards, go I must-
Long shall I search for home.

There are those in life who cling to the original concept of "home" and are never without it, becuz they find it everywhere from that point onward. And then there are those like me & the narrator of this poem, that seem to almost revel in the freedom of not being tied to any one "home" . . . or any trite concept of what it all means. I believe the narrator of this poem doesn't really want to find home & is deeply satisfied in the searching (((HUGS)))
