October Breezes

Bright and crisp, October breezes

Sweep gently through the mottled trees

And linger, among heavy branches,

To dance with brightly-painted leaves.


Fierce and sharp, October breezes

Tear savagely through battered trees

And, rushing through their tattered branches,

Strip them bare of all their leaves.


Golden, tranquil autumn mornings.

Daylight, passing without warning.

As always, with a change of seasons,

It’s one part bliss and one part mourning.

I haven't been on this site in years, but I logged in for a trip down memory lane and found this on my home screen!! I love this so much!!! Fall is probably my favorite season, and you described it so well and beautifully and I love your word choice and imagery!! Absolutely beautiful!! Great job!! :)
