Her ponytails bobbed behind her as she darted through the flower beds. Pausing for breath, she leaned against the ivy-covered wall and gazed up at the sky. She breathed in the smell of freshly cut grass and smiled. She could stay here for hours.
"Emma?" Peals of laughter rang out as the others caught up, and- "Emma!" She awoke with a start, laughter still ringing in her ears. The teacher glared down at her sternly. "Emma, do you have anything to say for yourself?" "Yes," Emma replied flatly. "Next time I have geometry class, I'll remember to bring a pillow..."
