Beautiful Girl

Beautiful Girl

A Poem by James R. Lawrence

Beautiful Girl
(Lawrence)

When I met you a few years ago,
You stole my heart and wouldn't let it go,
It didn't take long to have wrapped around your finger

When I first saw you walking right to me,
My heart beat quick, what a vision to see,
She smiled and laughed when I caught her, what a beautiful girl

Chorus
You make the night turn into day
Your smile makes the darkness go away
I can only find the words to say
Beautiful Girl

When I first heard you call my name
I knew I'm gonna be the same,
Because I held in my arms my Beautiful Girl

Chorus

What would I do if you went away?
Would I want to go without you?
Would I find the words to make you stay?
Could I go on without you?

When I first heard you close the door,
I knew you were everything and more,
I'd never be the same again without you here

Chorus

The beginning of a love is unexplainable. The power that engulfs us, to be so giving to the other. How wonderful if this could last. To be called a Beautiful Girl, how amazing because you are being selfless and giving a wonderful compliment that you feel to another. Sounds to me that this love is true. Very nice lyrics that have a nice, even flow about them. Keep up the good work!

I love the whole flow and the tenderness of true love that flows through this piece. It would make an absolutely Beautiful love song. Love the chorus!!
