Pain LingersA Poem by WintersGirlBullying is one worst ways to feel emotional pain
Bitterness enfolds before her heart
Pain unravels before her mind Fear unlocks before her dreams Isolation entangles before her eyes Utter disgust points at her Mocks and laughs attacks through her Lingering there, a knife taunts her Sitting there, darkness awaits her Lonely she is with no one there Little she knows a harsher world waits Little she knows people can't see The buried pain clouded transparently Lies after lies are poured from her mouth "I'm fine" has become her common phrase Was it worth lying to the people who cared? Was it worth lying to the creators of her soul? Years she has endured this pain The pain that is enlightened every new day Shall I be the one to erase that pain? Or shall I watch in the shadows as she suffers Like the coward I am? © 2012 WintersGirlAuthor's Note
