Don't Believe Him

Don't Believe Him

A Poem by FlatLineBeauty

He spotted you from across the room
A warm smile twisting on those wicked lips
His eyes strip you down and search you deeply
Voice as smooth as satin
With words that make your ears tingle
If he says he wants to know you better...
Don't believe him

His hand fits perfectly with yours
The grip is secure, yet gentle
Leaning in his forbidden lips find yours
Eyes searching yours
Feigning a fake sense of rising passion
If he says he loves you...
Don't believe him

He pushes the hair from your face
Traces your lips with the tips of his fingers
Leaving small trails of kisses up and down
Your soft, delicate neck
Soft nibbles pulling at your skin
If he says you're his everything...
Don't believe him

You love the way he pulls you close
Savoring the way his arms wrap around you
The way his lips kiss your forehead
His hand rubbing up and down your spine
Causing that exciting shiver
If he says he will never leave you...
Don't believe him

This poem instills emotions like a turbulent ocean. Rocking me back and forth into the inviting and the cautionary tale my scared heart knows oh to well. Great write.
