She Can't SeeA Poem by FlatLineBeauty
I watch as she sits alone
Staring out the window I often wonder What thoughts go through her mind Her tiny hands wrapped around her tea cup Soft lips blowing over steam rising from the cup The smell of Earl Grey Causing her lips to curve When she is calm and at peace Are the moments She looks like an elegant painting Soft and calm Sweet and simple But by the same token She is full of mystery And magick I watch how she spills her feelings With ink All over white pages Curious as to what is in her heart She shares so freely Her inner feelings Deepest secrets But all with strangers Not wanting to get close To anyone that can be there Not wanting to open So she can't be broken I want to take her And discover every thing All that she keeps sacred Everything that makes her Opening her page by page Gently Slowly Entering into her world But she can't see That there is someone Who wants to be there One who wants to know her She can't see The way he loves her Admiration in his eyes As if she were an elegant sculpture She can't see The care he takes In everything he does All because she's afraid She can't see That for once this is genuine Her wish coming true Yet, she keeps pushing away She can't see Because deep down All she knows how to feel Is fear
