Is this what it's like to be in love?

I feel so intoxicated

Almost like I am high

Like a love struck puppy

It hurts when I'm not with you

You stay in my thoughts through the day

Intoxicated by your presence

I miss you before you even leave the room

You saved me from my own prison

Turning my light into darkness

A constant smile on my face

Feeling silly and full of giggles

I have never felt so care free

As you press your lips to mine

I feel intoxicated by your love

My mind starts to wonder

Not able to think straight

I never knew I needed love so much

Opening my heart to something new

Our bodies pressed together

Wrapped in your arms

Holding hands with fingers laced

Intoxicated by your touch

Falling hard not wanting to hit the ground

The sensations feels amazing

Is this what it is like to be love struck?

A new love is exciting. It can take your breath away for a time until the water boils down to a simmer. The color scheme is interesting but this seems more of a list of cliches to me. Sorry.
