Let Me DrownA Poem by FlatLineBeautyHe holds her in his arms looking down Trying to save her from herself Breath! Damn her Don't do this to him Open your eyes She wants this to be more She wants them to have a chance But it takes a lot to keep her breathing The water rises up consuming her Snuffing out her life He want to be her hero in this lifetime In the end he will end up hurt Little things are said Try as hard as she can She can't push away Trying to make up reasons Why she can't stay Making reasons he shouldn't save her Letting her own personal hell consume her Confused and disillusioned Her world upside down and unstable He believes in her If he could see what she sees He would lose all hope She attacks those that try and help her Those that try to save her from herself In her eyes everything starts out sunny Then the gray skies come quickly Everything and everyone becomes an enemy Little games, tiny lies The blame will be placed on him Everything that is truth Becomes a lie Not good or bad Really no in between for her Speaking in the third person Just so I can forget She is me It's not the way I want to be Sinking to the bottom Water rising rapidly Let me sink Just let me drown © 2013 FlatLineBeautyReviews
