My heart is racing fast

I see him pop up 

On my screen

My heart begins to race

He sends the first message

My heart flutters

I can't help but smile

As we talk back and forth

If only I could touch you

I want my lips pressed to yours

Being in your embrace 

Is my only desire

Falling for someone 

I barely know

Sometimes it seems silly

Inconceivable at times

Cursing fate

Believing you found someone

Who is beyond perfect

Wanting someone 

Half way across the world

It's frustrating to only 

Be behind your screen

Wishing just to be with you

How can someone

Make me smile this much

Common goals and dreams

Same desires

Even though we go slow

I don't know 

If I could ever be ready

Through your words

I get to know you 

Day by day

To me it's like a fairy tale

Cursed by distance

I don't know 

What it is you see

I just wish

I could see the same

I'm far from perfect

But you always disagree

It has been forever 

Since I've felt like this

I almost feel

Like me again

I wish this could be more

Than just behind the screen lovers.

I know what this feels like. In some ways it's the hardest kind of relationship to have. In a small way at least you don't say some thing you regret...well at least you can take more time with the answers and conversation.

I'm so happy you can feel like you again and whoever this person in your life maybe I hope you can cherish each other to someday be more than just behind the screen lovers. This is amazing by the way, the writing is like a plea of love, a heart weeping its tale of wanting more but at the same time so happy with what it's discovered.
