A sinner's Plea

A sinner's Plea

A Poem by Winter

The claws of hell have a grip on me
Satan's laughter fills the air
As the claws drag me to the dark abyss
Soon to be my home and demise

As much as I scream
As much as I cry
As much as I plead
No one can hear them

Pure bright light filled darkness
The claws of hell screeched
Retreating from whence they came
Tears filling my guilty eyes

As I prayed the sinner's plea:

From ashes to ashes
From dust to dust
I have sinned so much
All I ask from you O Lord
If I found favor in thy eyes
Cleanse me once more
