Chapter Two : And here they come (Beyond Normal)

"

Maybe they aren't just dreams....

"

I jerked out of my sleep by the incessant pounding on my bedroom door, along with my soon-to-be-dead stepbrother's voice that had manages to wake me despite the music blaring from my radio. Trying to ignore it, I flipped over and buried my head into the softness of my dark green pillow, but the gentle pitter-patter of rain on glass caught my attention. So instead, I peeked one eye open and followed the thin ray of light that was coming threw the dark curtains covering my window. My stormy gray-green gaze softened as I watched the rain fall, dark clouds hovering, and let it relax the rest of my dream away.

        "RUNE,WAKE UP!!!!"

My stepbrother's voice ruined my peaceful moment as he hollered once again. Well, that along with the skin crawling sound of metal scraping metal as he tried to unsuccessfully pry open the deadbolt on my door.

With a sigh, I sat up and stretched, pushing my uneasy feelings away, as I pulled the covers back and krept toward the door. Careful not to make a sound, I quickly flicked open the lock and swung the door wide, a smile tugged at the corners of my lips at the sight before me: My "Big Shot" Quarterback-High School Hero- All the girls want him- six foot tall- brother was bent in half trying to pick my dead bolt with a butter knife. Not only that but the embarressed/surprised look on his face was enough to make me roll around on the ground in hysterics, but instead i simply arched an eyebrow and gave him that "I'm better than you" look that he always gave me.

"Sometimes i wonder if you were dropped one to many times on your head."

He jerked upright, his ears and neck turning red, as he tried to retaliate, "WELL....!"

I cut him off by shutting the door in his face, flipping the lock back into place. Yawning, I ruffled my long curly black-ice blue highlighted- hair as I let my gaze wander over my bedroom. It was nearly pitch dark but I knew exactly where everything was and exact color and details of everythin.

Despite the fact that our house was pretty big, my room was kind of small...
