Believe Me

Believe Me

A Poem by Storm K.

What do we know,
about the role of faith?
The word itself is in fact,
just a word,
a mix of letters with such force
that they will drive a stake,
millennia long and wide and sharp,
between those of the same bleeding heart,
the same mind and smile and life.
Is it just all in our heads,
theses assumptions made?
The belief that we are right,
and in this way anyone else
is left out in the dark.
They are wrong and stupid, so,
what do they know of light?
It isn’t fair that blood should flow
and feuds should be so strong,
whilst from above they look down
and wonder what went wrong.

thanks so much!
A nice piece of ink! It takes us through those common threads of thought about faith, religion and all, and it leaves us with an image upon a hint....
That perhaps is this...
"Damn pesky humans!" Shouted the sub-angel, as he ruffled his feathers and clenched his fist. "Don't you see what you've become? Is it so hard?" Frustrated the sub-angel spins away from the open of the clouds pool and launches himself into the heavens. Finally settling down at the entrance to the Angelic Union Hall.
He is quick to notice that many of the sub-angels and a few major-angels have gathered to lodge complaints, dropping their messages into the God-orb transit sphere. The sub-angel over hears a Major-Angel speaking in a hushed voice. "I saw the do-over switch in the high hall of heaven today... it's heavily guarded, but I think if we band together, we can rush them and flip the switch."

=) Thanks for sharing your poetry!

You're welcome! =)
This is very good. Although I'm not very good at reviewing poems, this one was lovely. You did a great job describing the message you used, and I enjoyed it. :)
