Chapter OneA Chapter by Winged_RavenTwo days earlier:
“Is that all of them?” Lorili jumps up with excitement as she puts the last folded up cardboard box down on the wooden floor boards with the others. I nodded after weeks are fumbling around with boxes from our home to our new flat and unpacking everything was frustrating, but now looking around it was worth the hassle to move with the bonus of moving in with my closet friend. The flat was a small two bedroom place with a plain white and grey kitchen to your left as you walked in with a little wooden table and two chairs at the end of the kitchen, then the front room straight a head, it had a brick walls and wooden floor boards through out the flat. I walked over and sat down on the brown three person couch and put my feet on the small wooden table in front of me, Lorili was to excited to sit down she ran straight into her bedroom which was the second door from the front door. Even when we were kids she was easily excited, which would get annoying at times like when she finds money in the couch she sequels and runs around the house for 20 minutes happy that she found some money. I blew my blue hair out of my face as Lorili jumped out of no where and my heart felt like it jumped out of my chest, my feet hit the floor with a thud as my head went towards my legs I gasped, about to swear at her as she interrupted me. “Nova? Can we go out? I heard that there is a mean club that opened down the road” She begged jumping on the couch. “Is there any point in asking me? Your going to drag me along any way” I laughed. “Come on you need to get out more, all you do is work and sleep, if that at times your a work-a-holic Nova and you love me enough to come out” she giggles as she walked into her room. She can't talk about working a lot, since she started university studding to become a vet and part time working at a club she is out just as much as me but she has been working hard so I slugged my way into my room which was a few meters from the couch, my bedroom had brick walls and wooden floors, a wooden double bed with grey and black sheets, a wooden bedside table and next to the door a white plastic desk and a plain black wheeled desk chair, on the desk it had my black duffel bag placed to the right side of the desk, the duffel bag was full of equipment for work. My laptop was just placed next to the bag with paperwork all over it so it is just visible, I looked outside my double casement window just to see a closed curtained single window. Lorili skipped into the room spinning around to show me her outfit, it was a simple dark purple singlet and a dark green that was almost black pencil skirt that fitted perfectly to her inverted triangle body shape perfectly. She had her red hair tied up going down the left side of her shoulder, all she had left to do was her make-up which made me wonder why she was in my room in the first place when she wasn't finished. “You look very nice Lorili” I commented hoping that would kick her out of my room so I could do the painful task of getting ready alone. “Get of fatty!” I protest as she hugs me laughing. She then skipped to the built in wardrobe going through my clothing throwing a lot of my shirts, trousers and jackets on the bed shaking her head until she grabbed a little black dress that she brought me for my last birthday. I begin shaking my head and arms remembering when I last tried it on, it didn't feel right was to sucking in the places I would rather not show off but I couldn't tell her she was so excited giving me this present that I felt bad. “Wear this! You will look beautiful, you need a personal life and not just work” She giggles throwing the dress at me then running into her room. “Go worry about yourself pain in the a*s” I shout out from the bedroom door way. Walking to the bed where I placed the dress looking down at it I sighed, I knew that this day would come where she would find a reason for me to wear this but I had been procrastinating for months. Plus personally I liked only having my work life, for one my job was risky enough, I'm out all times of the day and night never knowing when I will be in or out which is one reason we moved out and she knew that but the main thing is I find relationships hard enough but come on hunting ghosts isn't a 9-5 job. © 2015 Winged_Raven |
