REAL LIFE

Life mixed with dreams...

Real Life

 

I find myself in lands of fantasy

in far off places, just you and me

Places outside of regular life

where there is no such thing

as crime or strife

Worlds full of wonder and glee

things to do, places to see

No rich, no poor, no poverty

Just oceans of green, skies of blue

sunshiny days and time with you

We would do well to remember

to enjoy our stay as it will be short

just until the next morn, then back

to the real world of murders,

suicides & dark drizzly days

Tomorrow will bring all new things

love, hope, joy and lots of new

wonderful dreams

We hope...

you was very honest and true on this life here on earth has a lot of horrible things that happen and go wrong. I think of all this myself,but I also think of my family and friends and try hard not think so much of the bad because its very depressing.I guess its life and things that hopefully could change later. thank you for sharing this with me i really appreciate it. great job. thinking of all the things that are beautiful and peaceful in this world helps me through each day that comes my way.It never hurts to hope and dream either you never know some day it may be a lot more good instead of bad. karen

Very powerful piece as I found it uplifting and super positive. Giving hope and the possibility of love and a future. I really enjoyed the flow and different styles in mixed made it very visually pleasing to read as well look at. I think it work great with this piece. It is always great to try new styles and stuff to find on the works the best for you and your writings.

Great work! There's nothing wrong with trying something different. That is how you stand out and blossom as a writer. You certainly exemplify it well in this wonderful piece.

I really like this poem. It's very moving and uplifting. My only small criticism would be near the very end, where you start talking about going back to the real world, provides a bit to stark of a contrast for me. The entire poem gives me a sense of bliss and happiness, then in the last stanza, it changes pace as if to say "but don't forget... it's only a dream, the world is imperfect." But, if you were going for that effect instead of an entirely dreamy poem, then you achieved it very well^^ I guess it all really depends on which way you want to take the poem..
