Another few words (cos I talk too much!) ... you've used a style you seem to be happy in... and it's great. There's a rhythm as you read.. and, consequently, your words flow so well.
You might have made the final two lines into four somehow, slightly altering the words, omitting this or that
This beautiful gift
Quite beyond compare,
We're truly thankful
For the baby dear.
Not sure about that... could do with another couple of words, but it moves with your previous lines' meter.
As to the theme... its's perfect, isn't it!
Thank you, thank you for sharing.

This cute poem captures the gift of childhood preciousness, the moment of bliss..as seen through loving
parents eyes..the reader can feel the happiness flood as an initiation being taken to see what makes
children so special.. as well as sentimental devotion..and what compares to the love of a family in harmony..
as your words paint a picture of mother -father and child in portrait harmony.. sweetly adoring
and well written, your caring words warm the heart.. I really enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing
Short, sweet and to the point. Children are miracles, and so are loving grandparents. I certainly wish I had a grandmother who wrote poetry about me. Your children and grandchildren are lucky to have you Windy.
Such a lovely piece and one that really brings back
from the moment these lil angels come into the world
to touch our hearts and souls, such a beautiful endearing poem
one that many parents/grandparents can relate to so well!
wonderful poem!!~

Sounds like a precious little guy made from heaven to me. Again another beautiful write. Hug and kiss him tight because he'll be older over night and the next thing you know he'll be having taking that grown up flight. Mine sure grew up fast and I sure do miss him so.
I'm married to an amazing man that also happens to be a writer! My heart belongs with him, our children and our grandchildren, they are all amazing.
This is an "outlet" for me. I am not a w.. more..
