I didn't do this alone

This heart which is broke in two

I had much help

But I still love you

How they gazed into mine

No one can replace you in my heart

For I shall love you for all time

 

We tried darlin

We tried so very very hard

I guess it wasn't so meant to be

We do much better when apart

 

I miss your blue eyes

I miss our cuddle time

I miss my hands in yours

Now just wasn't our time

 

I lost my best friend

Long before I said goodbye

Before there were four hearts broken

Before the mistrust and the lies

 

I'll miss those blue eyes always

And the arms that once made me feel safe

I'll always love you darlin

And I'll never forget all the love we made

It is admirable for you to take part responsibility for a relationship breaking up but also knowing it takes two... I can see this is simply from the heart... no smoke and mirrors and big dialogue... that is the most sincere and heartfelt kind of poem.

Thats so beautiful, simple and sad... actually I wrote a poem a few weeks back on blue eyes, I have blue eyes myself, so that probably the reason I read that beautiful tender , but sad poem :) ... Yossi
