Constant

Constant

A Poem by Amy Whetzell
"

Every person has a constant; another person who will come back time and again. Sometimes its good, sometimes its supposed to end.

"

I met him

I had him

I loved him

I pushed him away

I lost him

I searched for him

I found him

I loved him

I pushed him away

I lost him again

We've been together so many different times

This year and that

Spring Fall Summer Winter

Never together for too long at a time

Never has another had me so many a time

Never has he been with another as mush as me

I am his constant

He is my soulmate

This is our obstacle in every lifetime

We overcome or die trying

We overcame this obstacle, 12 years after it began

I fear that I'll never see him again

Neither of us will ever love like that again

But at least we know now what we failed in our past lives

Now we know we're not meant to be

PERHAPS WE COULD HAVE STAYED TOGETHER

IF ONLY HE'D DO WHAT I NEEDED OF HIM

FIGHT FOR ME!

INSTEAD OF JUST

LETTING ME GO.
