Eternal Life. (Conclusion to ReighnPounder)

Eternal Life. (Conclusion to ReighnPounder)

A Poem by ArchAngel

Mere months after releasing the old wise mans soul, I was gifted with a lover. And later with our little girl. The child's eyes are the bluest I've seen. Her hair red. Touched with silk and pearl.

Every day I now live as a teacher, Syvian learns of the RieghnPounder way. Gaining all my knowledge faster than I can give. She strives to be an ancient herself, someday.

Syvian has now grown into a woman. Her beauty is far beyond sight. Many times I have chased away strangers, who call to her window at night.

Oddly, she does not want just any companion or soul that walks in off the street. His wisdom and knowledge must somehow compare with hers. His touch must be gentle and sweet.

The day has come for me to rest....From this sleep I will never wake. Syvian understands this quiet clearly and she vows my place, she will take.

I hear her gentle words to me as my eyes forever fade from the light. "You will have eternal life, father....... A bedtime story that children hear every night.

Eternal life as been reduced to a bedtime story? I guess theirs worse ways to spend your after life.
I enjoyed reading this piece. I like that your story wasn't predictable. My favorite lines were the very first and closing sentence. Good Stuff.
Thanks for sharing. Keep writing.
