Snow Relationship

Snow and Relationships are alike

Snow falls
Virgin white
Sparkling in the sunlight
Soft blanket
In drifts so pure
Seemingly a natural lure
Enchanting beauty
Innocent
But everything is bent
To appear as the most pleasing.

Like new relationships
Mystery entrances
As masks hide and the character dances
O how innocent the new is
Then it melts
Glimpses of the truth are seen.

The snow continues to fall
And the masks begin again
Yet the melted still exists
Hidden with the truth
Why hide the truth
When searching for the soul?
Because when it all melts away
Nothing is left behind but dots of gray
And misery damp along the way.

As the snow comes with the seasons
So will life
And the people.
So don't get swept away.
Don't let the snow dazzle.

Author's Note

Very incomplete. Basically just a raw form of ideas at the moment.
A broken relationship made me wonder why people fall for those who they aren't meant to be with, and the relationship came to mind when I looked at the fading snow from days before. It seemed just like the relationship; new and beautiful at first, melting, new snow refreshed it but the melted was still underneath, then melted away altogether. But like snow, it'll come with the seasons. Until then, I have to live with the new life of spring flowers. Suggestions welcome!
