What Happens to a Woman

What Happens to a Woman

A Poem by WindSinger

What happens to a woman when she has to let go?

When words cannot express her pain and sorrow.

The tears she cries fall

and he doesn't seem to care at all.

What happens to a woman when a stone is cast upon her soul,

when dreams are shattered?

And she cann't help but feel torn and tattered.

Taunting images and wonderful thoughts,

is what all this seems to have brought.

A chameleon is his image,

he projects the illusion of being wonderful and caring,

when underneath his image you'll find something else,

a person who's callous, venegeful, and daring.

What happens to a woman when she realizes she was a fool?

When she fell for a cage, instead of a circle,

How she saw through the illusions seems to be a miracle.

Pools of tears, she has cried and soaked her best friend

her pillow.

Now she compares herself to a willow.

In her comparison she realizes where she came from,

The Earth her home, and the church she pray,

she sees it's time to change her way.

Time to return home,

back to the Creator where she need be,

she realizes now all that she could be.

All her pain and all her tears,

opened her up to all of her fears.

The lessons Chameleon taught her to come home,

from her pain and sorrow she shees the light at the end of the tunnel.

She sees her mistake, grieves, and gets over it.

She realizes life will go on,

and that it's time to connect.
