Home Is Where the Heart Is

Home Is Where the Heart Is

A Poem by WindSinger

The day I met you was the day I lost my heart.

Tears of joy and pain constantly burden that void,

I have always felt.

Meeting your see filled eyes made me melt.

Pouring water on my fire,

calming the storms of butterflies

that torment my lost heart.

When I see your sea filled eyes,

they invite me, so I dive in.

That void I have always felt,

fills for a moment in time with a sun shine.

I have long since forgotten.

A hug carries me out to sea in passion and serenity.

I come home filled and,

pass it on to others.

When that void returns, I come

to you and see where I have left my lost heart.

In the beautiful sea in your eyes,

and when I go to retrieve my lost,

I begin to feel as though I am at home,

when I find my heart

there is also a white rose.

I have found my home,

my heart, my treasure.

May I stay?
