When I get bored in my English classA Chapter by Peregrinator7This is sadly true...
When I get bored in my English class
Random ideas swirl through my head A constant torrent like the cold winter wind And tortures me 'til I can't stand it. When I get bored in my English class While the rest of my pupils are analyzing text For literary and insightful themes I make themes of my own. When I get bored in my English class And we should be preparing for our future Of dialectical journals and essays My characters have better futures than me. When I get bored in my English class They're dissecting world-changing poems I'm writing poems of my own But will they be world-changing? When I get bored in my English class I write under the table and pretend Like I'm living in a world where no one can express, Where creativity is taboo. When I get bored in my English class I dive into the world of the unknown Where anything can happen and logic is broken. It's a place hard to escape. When I get bored in my English class I half-listen as they discuss motifs in a book And create whole worlds and timelines While mine is crumbling around me. When I get bored in my English class I write, develop, create, And if that's what you do in an English class Why's my grade so bad?
