They were standing thereA Chapter by Peregrinator7I looked in the mirror
One day
i looked in the mirror and saw not one- but two figures standing there. The one on the left stood confident and tall she held my curious stare she looked like she'd rather fly or fight or stare death in the face she was gentle but strong with almost a bird-like grace and in an instant i knew she was the better of the pair of the not one- but two figures standing there. The other stood with arms crossed and regarded me with a glare she looked like a ticking bomb pop! You get an angry fist to the face bitter and snarky, trusting nothing hoarding broken shards from a vase and in an instant i knew she was not the preferred of the pair of the not one- but two figures standing there. And alas, the steam cleared and all who was left was me staring into that forlorn mirror and who i could possibly be i lifted my chin and straightened my shirt and thought that i could bear to be just myself not the one- but two figures that were standing there.
