Paula And The WizardA Story by Willys WatsonPaula And The Wizard When Paula visited Mrs. Hatch, a ninety year old woman, who was considered the smarted person in town because of her education and experiences in life and was lovingly called The Wizard told her she could not answer her question even before she asked it. And Paula asked her why. The Wizard told her is was because she wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted in life and she could only fairly answer specific questions. Paula asked her if she would ever have a such detailed questions to ask her. The Wizard told her of course she would. Paula asked her how long it would take. The Wizard told her if would depend on her, her future experiences, from the wonderful, the humorous, the heart warming and the heart breaking. So she asked The Wizard one more question when she asked her if she would ever figure it all out. The Wizard told her most of it, because no one ever figures it all out. She smiled at Mrs, Hatch, thanked her and, as she was leaving her study, about to close the door, The Wizard called out to her that she will likely become the writer she wants to be and her writing will likely inspire many to seek their own path to their own version of fulfillment and happiness. Paula asked her how she knew this. The Wizard first reminded Paula that she was not psychic, thought many claimed she was. She just still had a vivid memory for details and remembered the short stories during High School that Paula had written and asked her to read and she knew how talented Paula already was and had faith in her abilities.
