LABOR DAY THANKS YOU

LABOR DAY THANKS YOU

A Poem by Willys Watson

Labor Day Thanks You

If the Lightening Bolts went on strike,
and refused to hit anything
without a pre-agreed contract
who are we supposed to contact?

The vain and jealous Greek Gods of old?

Thank the women and men who fought
for years to eliminate the
sweatshop mentality to earn
paid labor the rights they deserve.
