solitude of love

solitude of love

A Poem by willweb

~

“Neath blushing heavens up above, within the solitude of love”

As evening captures your eyes
in moon shadow driftings
when stars blush
and heavens find their
dreams fulfilled

I taste your midnight lips
neath a slumbering elm
between emerald leaves
and comet tail whispers
wafting silently

Pearl buttons part
slowly exposing porcelain skin
gentle hands caress sultry shimmers
illumined by desire,
painted impassioned hues

Twin umber auroras
gaze down midst darkened strands,
tickling wispy giggles,
moistened petals pierced,
warmth engulfs the embrace

And as our fingers intertwine
before a bashful horizon
my heart quivers
at the beauty enchanting
this summer's eve

Where forever promises linger
in breathless sighs
below a universe smiling
while we are alone
within the solitude of love

Your poetic words are the sparks which light passionate flames in the fire of this classic write, dear Willweb. The moon and stars look down with jealous eyes as you kiss and caress and speak lovingly to each other beneath the beautiful Elm tree! What a story that tree could tell if only it could talk! A very evocative write studded with little gems of metaphor and various figures of speech. Once again, you fleck a very sweet and sensual write for your reader to enjoy! Thank you for sharing. I so enjoyed reading! Exquisite inking, dear poet...

Ya happy now Will! You've ruined me for writing today! Unless I can schlepp together a scathing expose on slumbering elms, I'm toast! ...Beautiful!

Ha. thanks so much JD
The scene you set is absolutely memorable! And the all the desires, flames, passion gently heightens, as touch and scent , soft, silky skin, hearts quiver….under an elm tree beneath a heaven that smiles in envy of your caresses….young love blossoms in solitude ….this is wondrous…..so descriptive and stunning….your writing gets better and better Will….

Warmly, B
gotta love those slumbering elms...they give us shade and guard us we explore each other's lips...
This reminds me of young love and my high school days.
They were wonderful times...and I still treasure every kiss...and even the uncertainty that went along with attempting to get those kisses.
