Behind the dunes

Behind the dunes

A Poem by willweb

~0~

I saw the sunrise blush
as the moon and the stars
disappeared behind the dunes . . .

I wonder what they were doing?

Probably romancing the lights out of each other. That's what they're created to do, aren't they? So imaginative and lovely.

Oh, I just love this precious succinct poem with a question for the reader. Sunrise captured so poetically. I guess sunrise is bedtime for Luna and the stars before the sunset arrives and they are due back for the night shift once more! Lovely, lovely write! Thank you for sharing Willweb...

I hope Lydia is careful of those broken shells.
Maybe the sunrise saw the moon and stars dancing naked...
fig leaves dropped somewhere in the milky way.

I love this one, Will...brings me back to the days when a walk on the beach at sunrise was oh so romantic. Now I would probably step on a broken shell and need stitches! :) Short, but full of imagery. Lydi**
