Ocean breeze

A cresting

wave

of shimmered

light

caresses warm

this

slumbered shore

As moonbeams

whisper

in the night

on

seafoam winds

so soft

and pure

I walk along

this

silent view

my

footprints follow

paths

with ease

For here my

thoughts

they float of

you

in dreams upon

the

ocean breeze

Will I have on occasion tried such metered poems. They are not easy to master but here the meter of the piece caries one on waves or words to the shore of love at the end. Very satisfying to read it seems almost hypnotic in a sense.

Thanks my friend. I just kind of write but it seems, at least with rhyming poetry, it becomes easier for me if I have a melody in my head to follow as I write.

[Poetic Beauty]

This takes me back to the only time I have been on an ocean’s shore. When I was 18 as a graduation present my aunt took me to Mexico. It was stunning and beautiful.

This reminded me of my weeks spent there on the beach and in the sand. I can smell the ocean breeze and feel the sand between my toes.

It is a wonderful place to be. I have been to the beaches in Mexico as well, many, many years ago. They were beautiful and just like a picture postcard. Thank you so very much
