Ocean breeze

Ocean breeze

A Poem by willweb

A cresting
wave
of shimmered
light
caresses warm
this
slumbered shore

As moonbeams
whisper
in the night
on
seafoam winds
so soft
and pure

I walk along
this
silent view
my
footprints follow
paths
with ease

For here my
thoughts
they float of
you
in dreams upon
the
ocean breeze

Thoughts of your love float in silent dreams, as if waking on foamy waves as the moon follow your dreamy path….and light winds carry you to a place of romantic floating petals…..

Soothing words wrapped in ocean breeze... Nothing can be more beautiful than making some footprints with one's 'dream'. Structure, wording, and simplicity are distinctively beautiful!

Thank you so very much. I am thrilled you liked this one.
Will I have on occasion tried such metered poems. They are not easy to master but here the meter of the piece caries one on waves or words to the shore of love at the end. Very satisfying to read it seems almost hypnotic in a sense.

This takes me back to the only time I have been on an ocean’s shore. When I was 18 as a graduation present my aunt took me to Mexico. It was stunning and beautiful.

This reminded me of my weeks spent there on the beach and in the sand. I can smell the ocean breeze and feel the sand between my toes.

You are welcome. There is something soothing about the ocean and it’s waves
How one’s thoughts do wander when walking by the ocean. Perhaps it is because it is so peaceful and calming that it guides us to thoughts of pleasant things. You made me want to, at the very least, go be outside. What a wonderful read.

Ah, lovely thoughts by the ocean, what could be nicer except maybe having her with you by the sea? A sweet and peaceful moment captured in verse.

That's the dream my friend, that is the dream. : ) Thanks so much Fabian.
Stood between land and sea a man owns the world! A lovely flow of words, willweb, fine waves and sweet sense. You ever and always create pictures with your words. Whereas I have one foot on the land and another in the sea, but not an ocean!
