The pathway did bendA Poem by willweb~
Stood on a path between morning and night, watching as clouds filled the sky Asking the breeze as it flowed now in spite, what is the reason I cry
Shouted in echoes that rang through the land, hoping some joy would be found Longing for someone to offer a hand, praying, my knees on the ground
And then I saw her, a smile divine, eyes of the faintest light blue Chardonay whispers of euphoric wine, now at a table for two
Though there were miles and hours apart, happiness played on the hill Moments of sharing and touching the heart, warmth in the face of the chill
Since then, I knew my direction would change, once straight, the pathway did bend No longer lonely, I now rearrange, thankful that you are my friend ~
