Softly spoken

Softly spoken

A Poem by willweb

~

Softly spoken, whispers glisten
'pon this winter's eve so clear
Who am I to stand and listen,
seeking words I long to hear

Neath a sky of frosted glowing,
patiently I wait the sound
Bound of dreams, my heartbeat knowing,
as a verse this night is found

Chilled, the wind now sings affection,
lyrics bring my face a smile
Illumined by the moon's reflection,
melodies in shimmered style

Floating now in sonnets calling,
up above the world to see
Knowing soon I will be falling,
where her stanzas wait for me

A beautiful sonnet with sweet melodies and love is in the air as well, on a frosty eve... where whispers and sky glow... and your stanzas are waiting for me and you....
Lovely Will,
Warmly,
B.

Indeed, they make up for those whose words can be put off until the next incarnation.

Thanks my friend.
I love to hear a beautiful poet read her words. If we are lucky Will. Many give us a private reading. Good evening from cold and chilly Michigan. I heard the cold days had found Texas. Keep warm and keep safe.

This should be a lovers lullaby, a happy thought on your lips before you wake and begin your day of lovers lullaby writing.
