The sunset speaks

~

The sunset speaks the sweetest lore

in amber shades and tangerines

Soft phrases cast this balmy shore

midst syllables of twilight scenes

Her words of serendipity,

enchanted thoughts to calm the mind

Now float upon the silent sea

as coastal havens come to find

Within her paragraphs they sail

on lines the wind now beckons far

Lone journeys spent of velvet scale

to follow but the brightest star

Then as she bids a fond adieu

the moon shall occupy her sky

Until the morning brings her new

and evening says a warm goodbye

Ridiculously enough It was the word "tangerine" that mostly caught my eye
I can't recall seeing it ever used in any previous poetic endeavor and because I do quite a bit of painted artwork, it is a color I find especially attractive.
