Only to hold you once more

Only to hold you once more

A Poem by willweb

~

Stood at the crossroads of passion and truth,

placing my face to the wind

Calling in echoes, your fragrance the proof,

once again, now to begin

Knowing this feeling that takes me away,

somewhere this heart it does sing

Forecasted sunshine my eyes it will play,

love is a wonderful thing

Can’t help believing that you feel it too,

beneath the heavens so free

All that I am I shall be that for you,

forever romantically

Hoping you smile when thinking of this,

praying this message to send

So you will know with the touch of your kiss,

my heart starts beating again

Now here I wait as I stare to the skies,

filled with my thoughts ever pure

Wishing so softly in love filtered sighs,

only to hold you once more

~

Isn't that sweet. As for your thoughts being pure ... I'll take the poets loving words at that. Loving. Lovely love poem will.

Thank you again. I appreciate your time and comments. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Your flow and rhythm here Will, takes us back to a time where gentleman bowed and doffed their hats (any excuse to use the word doffed! 😊) and woman blushed in response. These days you could barely make a lass blush unless you sandpaper Ed her face for a fortnight! But I digress.
(ooh, digress is another!)
Now what was I saying? Oh yes,
Another fine piece written here again, that gets you a gold star and now you may saunter, gambol or stroll to the top of the class! 😊 🌟

Oh, Will....this is so very romantic. Bittersweet when the love of your life is no longer on this earth. Still, you stare at the moon and stars and hope she will know you still love her. Like a fairy tale, but so sweet. Lydi**

You never know I guess Jacob. Things happen and often we have no idea they are coming.
If ever I feel the need to write love notes to a lady, I'm going to ask you to do it for me. Just hope my wife doesn't see them.

If it happens, it will be our secret.
I so enjoy the lyrical quality of this piece. It really is musical in its flow. And like a love song it taps emotionally to any heart that has known love. Great work Will.
