P’d on (a love poem, sort of)

A Poem by willweb

`

Painting a picture of porcupines playing

Pincushions poked as a prank

Purple and pink for this peaceful persuasion

Pirates prepare, walk the plank

Painful perceptions of pacified pastry

Preparing pies at their pace

Pecan or pumpkin, pickle, pineapple

Pieces are priced for the place

Putting the paste on some powder puff paper

Pleasure in plaster is plied

Pausing to peer at some porpoises playing

Prancing in pansies with pride

Puzzling problems with pretzels and peanuts

Pestering people to pour

Pistachio perfume in prime presentation

Permeates pirouettes pure

Polishing pastels on pre-printed pages

Paragraphs primed for a phrase

Paisley the plumes of a peacock’s posterior

Plucked for the pens that we praise

Pampering pelicans play the piano

Posting a piccolo’s prayer

Picking a parcel of plum flavored pudding

Probably tastes like a pear

Pleats in my pants shout in proud proclamation

Pushing my pores to perspire

Penguin pajamas prevent provocation

Plotting my parables prior

Passion precedes every past tense of parting

Perched on a pine paneled pew

Posing for photos while purposely preening

Promising my love to you

{what are the odds both our tales begins with porcupines!}
i think i have just sparked a pompous goal to one day have a poem created for each letter of thy alphabet ~ my insanity knows no bounds. haha.

Ha! I always thought my penguin onesie would be put to poetry, but I always thought it would be my own. Now they have got the attention they deserve and not so much preventing provocation, but making people run away in fear that a grown man is walking about the supermarket in what is essentially an overgrown romper suit! 😊
It does stop those awkward conversations at the checkout and I always seem to find one where the queue has mysteriously scattered and joined other queus farther away, but I have found out that maybe I'm not as nutty as they think, because people seem to always cross to the other side of the road when I wear it outdoors and it just makes doing things much easier, as well as comfy. I reckon I'm the only same one in the crowd and everyone should do it. 😊
Ps... I was gonna say all that with only P words, but the only ones I could think of was penguin and Pingu. 😊
