Watercolor wishes

 

Faintest hint of morning

paints a cotton candy sky

Cedar Elms now reach

to touch the day

 

Tiger lilies wave on

 early breezes flowing by

Motions to entice

this grand display

 

Orange sherbet whispers

shimmer dew drops on the lawn

Blue birds whistle

tunes in harmony

 

Gazing at the beauty

of this watercolor dawn

Wishing you were

right here next to me

Just another rhyming morning poem that I am sure no one will read. Oh well...we write on, that's what we do.

When I was a kid in NY, I used to eat lots of sherbet....mostly orange.
A NY thing...but it never whispered to me...Oh I wish it would have.

Indeed, that's what we do. Liked very much the word painting of the colors of dawn. Almost makes me want to get up at dawn to catch a glimpse of it. Almost.

You should try it sometime, It is pretty cool, the sunrise is the exact opposite of the sunset, the colors are all reversed.

A fine image you have painted with your words sir, evoking images of calmness and serenity in a world that sometimes forgets how the simple act of breathing is really all we need...
As well as a slight breeze too, but hey, it's been unusually scorchio here and I'm not used to it. The security guard in the local frozen food shop must be wondering what I'm looking for, as I almost climb in to the freezer pretending to ever so slowly reach for that last packet of ice cream cones, right at the back. 😊
Well, it wouldn't be Scotland if I didn't moan about the weather, would it? 😊

Here it has been the same...exceeding 37.7c for several days and forecasted to reach 41.6c on Saturday. I might be wearing an ice cube necklace before too long. Thanks my friend.

You got that right! I absolutely loved the rhyming and all the little details in each verse. I want others to read mine but I also would love to hear what they thought of it too but as you said, not many will nor will they comment. We will carry on and put pen to paper.
