Whispered concertos

Whispered concertos

A Poem by willweb

~

Sun setting low on a lavender sky,

gently, its light traced your skin

Falling in love and I don’t wonder why,

lost in your beauty again

Pine needle sonnets now gracefully flow,

symphonies waft through the air

Taking your hand in the essence aglow,

soothing these moments we share

Hear now my song sung of enchanted days,

rhythmically sweet comes the sound

Whispered concertos in poetic phrase,

tranquil, the melody found

Harmonic echoes in voices so soft,

now as this evening does start

Waltzing a path tuned by angels aloft,

lyrics a’ flow from my heart

~

What a gloriously romantic poem this is. The words are lyrical and flow so easily. The rhyming is not forced. Will, this one is a winner. Lydi**

Sunset, lavender sky, pine needle sonnets and whispered concertos. Are you available for hire will:) lol. I think there is a niche in the market which needs to be plugged. I think your romanticism should fit the bill admirably for many a lonely heart out there. Perfectly lovely writing.

Happy you stopped by and enjoyed my little love fest.
I feel this poem captures a serene and romantic scene, evoking a sense of beauty and enchantment.

The imagery paints a vivid picture of a sunset, described as "Sun setting low on a lavender sky."

The choice of lavender adds a touch of softness and tranquility to the scene. The sun's light gently tracing the skin of the subject suggests a tender and intimate connection.

The poet expresses a deep and unquestioning love, stating, "Falling in love and I don't wonder why."

This line suggests a surrender to the power of love and implies that the reason behind this affection is self-evident.
The repetition of being "lost in your beauty again" reinforces the intensity of the poet's infatuation.

The second stanza introduces nature imagery, specifically pine needles and symphonies. The pine needle sonnets "gracefully flow," hinting at the poet's ability to weave beauty and harmony through their words. The symphonies that waft through the air evoke a multisensory experience, as if the surroundings are imbued with music. The act of taking the subject's hand in this ethereal ambiance emphasizes a deep connection and shared moments.

In the third stanza, the poet introduces the theme of music more explicitly, referring to their own song sung of enchanted days. The rhythm and sweetness of the sound resonate with the reader, as they are compared to a whispered concerto. This phrase showcases the poet's skill in crafting a poetic melody that enchants and soothes the senses.

The final stanza emphasizes the softness and tenderness of the evening, with "Harmonic echoes in voices so soft." This line suggests a gentle and intimate atmosphere. The mention of waltzing, tuned by angels aloft, conveys a sense of celestial guidance and divine inspiration. The lyrics that flow from the poet's heart reveal the depth of emotion behind the poem, as if the words are an extension of their innermost being.

Overall, this poem creates a harmonious blend of nature, love, and music. It transports the reader to a serene and enchanting world where beauty and emotion intertwine. The poet's mastery of imagery and lyrical language evokes a profound sense of awe and reverence. Through its skillful execution, this poem invites us to appreciate the transformative power of love and the arts.
