An Acrostic Poem

Today’s sorrows

offer lonely reminders of

unforgivable yesterdays

causing the pain of endless

heartbroken tomorrows

I love the sentiment of this; but for some reason, it made me think of a video that I saw recently.

There was a little bird in Michigan, and winter was just setting in. This is a time he has to move south. He was a little to happy and tweeting away. So after the weather started freezing, he tried to fly; and his wings froze and he fell. Then a cow was walking by and it ... you know ... cows. Well, it happened, and it landed straight on the bird. Feeling the warmth of the dung, slowly the bird recovered and became very happy and tweeted again. A hungry cat was passing by and heard the tweet. It opened up the dung and ate the bird.

The moral of the story?

Not everybody who s***s on you is your enemy, and not everybody who gets you of out of s**t is your friend. LOL!

Touch. Perhaps that's the answer to it all. I don't know, though. I think you need to deal with the "unforgivable yesterday's" before anything else. That forgiven, the rest will fall in line.

Like a dog chasing its tail. A broken hearted groundhog living the same wretched day over and over. But the fun of an acrostic is tempered by the powerful hurt of your statements. Especially those unforgivable yesterday's. I hope you, and all of us, have few of those. There's some strong emotions in this painful poem that touched me. That's what makes it good.

Now I head back to where I left off in your poetry, if I can find it.
