The Girl with Bora Bora Eyes~

The Girl with Bora Bora Eyes~

With ocean charm, enchanted view,

she strolls beneath these tropic skies

In vibrant shades of azure blue,

aglow, her Bore Bora eyes

Her gaze a captivating sight,

like irises in summer faire

Or bluebirds on a wayward flight,

cerulean, the balmy air

A vision ‘long this Island beach,

where lemongrass and starfish weave

in beauty far beyond my reach,

of whispered wishes to believe

With flowing hair, spun angel’s thread,

its length to float ‘bove coastal sand

Smooth lips emblazoned, Chinese red

and skin like satin, sultry tanned

The sun, a witness to behold,

now perched above its warming shine

Of morning tides and stories told,

to shimmer ‘pon her form so fine

Her shadow paints a silhouette,

between her stride the open sea

As palm trees sway, a pirouette,

hibiscus petaled tapestry

I watch, my heart it skips a beat,

while waves approach, melodic pure

These footprints seek a path to meet,

as one on this secluded shore

Midst loveliness forever true,

a mystic smile to hypnotize

I fall, her spell in pastel hue,

the girl with Bora Bora eyes

I did enjoy and you are welcome.
Her shadow paints a silhouette,

between her stride the open sea

As palm trees sway, a pirouette,

hibiscus petaled tapestry

I think this is my favorite part but the whole piece is lovely

Thanks so very much Tammy. I appreciate your kind words and it is so nice to see you again.
How truly romantic, gentle and oh so very visual! Won't s ask if based on fact because that would b reak the spell of such a fine flow of admiration! (Author's note: that's what you say! )

I wish I had read this before I wrote my thing for all the colors the poets here write about. Her blue eyes blew your eyes away. Her shadow a tapestry. Golden poetry I must say. And U used some elision ... 'magine that!

Thanks my friend. Eyes that blue need very little poetry to express.
I am liking the sound of this place but can't find it in any holiday brochures. Could you pass any old brochures or booking info to me, along with any of her friends phone number? I'd be most grateful, just to find out what a holiday with only t shirt and shorts would do and my luggage could be a holdall instead of looking like I was going on a mountaineering expedition. 😊
No rush... But I'm already packed and waiting at the airport. 😊

Only if the oft promised heatwave begins. 😊
This is just lovely! You captured the magic and beauty of Bora Bora and infused in and between the words. You have such a beautiful way of expressing the sunlight in your soul.

This is so harmonic. Can I just mention one of my favourite all time groups that this song reminds me of. Crosby, Stills and Nash.
I can hear the harmonies of this as I write.

An enchanting poem of rhyming verse. You do these well. Reading this made me think of the song, "The Girl from Ipanema" for some reason. Some lovely use of description throughout to capture the scene and the beauty of she who strolls along that beach. I am sure your eyes weren't the only ones following her every footstep. Well written poem.

And we just fall at her feet...a vast beauty...and let the waves of her hair splash over us.
You are definitely Mr. Love Poem on this site.
the best at these...mixing the feelings of love with the stark imagery that portrays it.
