Nefarious Nursery Rhyme

Nefarious Nursery Rhyme

A Poem by willweb

`

Little Miss Muffet,

sat on her tuffet

and what a nice tuffet indeed

Along came a spider,

sat down beside her

Said, “hey babe, you’re something I need”

She set down her food

and thought, damn, how rude,

this insect thinks he is Prince Charming

He crawled to her thigh,

with a wink of his eye,

gave a laugh at his thoughts so alarming

The closer he got,

it became quite hot,

His tiny heart rapidly beating

With a swipe of her hand,

she ended his plan

Yelling, “Get lost, can’t you see I’m eating?”

Somehow I missed this
There is no one like a Muffet, to bluff it, on her tuffet (what ever that is??

I was wondering what that was myself. Thanks Dave
Funny, and so cleverly written! Your comedic talent is a welcomed change to all the drama. Thanks for the "aha" moment at the end and the enlightenment you bring, Will!

You are welcome Will.
Sometimes the spider is more bite, than web. There's just one glaring problem with your poem ... the spider is not an insect! Count the legs in my avatar. The arachnid took offense, it did, at the mistake made by the hominid. It would like to invite you to climb into it's paper web, sticky with ink. There's no escape! It eats wills. Look what happened to me.

I never really got into the bespectacled one. Watched some of the movies, but I'm a reader.

I'm a reader as well. I am reading Dorothy L. Sayers right now. I purchased her collection to read.
Very cute! Most men that I have encountered in my life are scared to death of spiders. I've always found this to be so odd. They don't have an issue with snakes but are scared of spiders. After reading this, I am going to have a difficult time not looking at a man as if he's a spider with eight eyes! :) Well done.
