I wrote a poem on my heart

I wrote a poem on my heart

A Poem by willweb
"

Triple-acrostic

"

Inspiration finds my heart in verses penned, cursive as a dream,

when words become most anything, expressing what I hope to say.

Rose petal whispers scented sweet, read in perfumed phrases, as aroma

offerings sift ‘pon breezes on springtime mornings amidst a fern leaf

tinted a shade of emerald, effervescently becoming a weary dawn’s relief.

Enchanted visions of your beauty silently greet me as I rise.

Acoustic symphonies composed of devotion float feathery, filtering the sweetest music.

Poetic breaths waft through arbors, invitingly enticing desires to reflect

on moments born and shared, longings felt deeply within,  wishes I

encounter as my mind meanders, lingers, like strings of a cello,

melodic motions, capturing moonbeams in evening shadows, dancing in the rain.

Ornate visions, pastel painted of delicate smiles, adorned in lipstick traces,

nary a blemish nor worry witnessed, as bluebirds sing sonnets free,

methodically atop evergreen branches, windswept images, sky colored gifts to beckon.

Yes, love lives in the timeless promises, the cherished pleasures felt

happily within these lines, penned here to express my feelings that

endlessly wrap themselves around you, limitless in their vast breadth, ergo

anchored to your heart, proudly, openly, and at lonely times, desperately

reaching for anything that will verify my love, sending an echo

to the one I adore, eternally, my always and forever…you.

I was challenged (double dog dared) by Linda Marie Van Tassell to write a triple-acrostic. I can tell you this was no easy task. I thought my mind was going to implode

Her’s is absolutely beautiful. Here is the link if you’d like to read it. https://www.writerscafe.org/writing/linmarvan/338890/

Quite a challenge here will. You have risen to that beautifully. So many romantic and descriptive lines here. So much love incorporated into one poem. I crown you the King of Romance on WC.

You are correct my friend. Thanks so much Jacob.
This one could almost be called a hymn to love. The speaker is almost at a loss for words in expressing love for that special person. The last six lines say all that can be said.

Thanks so much my friend. This was not an easy task at all but I am happy with how it turned out.
Amazing and beautiful Will. Was like reading a John Donne poem and leaving with something. You made the words dance to magical places and thoughts. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

This is a stunning poem of visions, illusions, of rose petal whispers; of longings, of love,of timeless promises….soft and dreamy delicate like a petal….but not surprised that you wrote such beautiful words….I’m still trying to figure out the puzzle, but I think I have number 1…..
“I wrote a poem on my heart”? Will try the others….wow is this amazing!

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote, "If I could stick a penknife in my heart and bleed all over the stage, would it satisfy you, work to pacify you; would you think the boy is strange? The boy is strange. I know it's only Rock and Roll but I like it." Well, I know this is only poetry but I like it. You did great on the challenge from Linda. What do we get for an encore? Bravo, Will. F.

I am honored to have inspired you, amazed that you took up the challenge, and gob smacked that you pulled this off with such aplomb. You did a marvelous job, both in the hidden messages, and in the overall content of the poem. Your pen is like a feather, it whispers softly, always with a light touch and beautifully effervescent. Congratulations on rising to the occasion and making me want to do this again. It is such an inspiration to be among writers who really love poetry for the sake of poetry. Well done! If I could I would give you a 1,000.

This is definitely one of the sweetest, most delicate, and most romantic things I've ever read.
It is the type of writing that is so perfectly well catered to spoken word, as the words are so adorned by being wrapped up in the sound of the human voice.
I think you may have created a masterpiece.
