Rainbow tapestry

Rainbow tapestry

A Poem by willweb

The colors of a brand-new day,

amidst the seagrass emerald green

Upon this shore of khaki grains

and seashell's polished pearl sheen

Horizon's glow, flamingo pink,

beneath an azure turquoise sky

An ocean teal, my toes they sink,

as aqua waves come rolling by

A rising sun of tangerine

and lemon zest so vivid bold

My view a rainbow tapestry,

my world a shining pot of gold

"And sometimes, the sun just sets." or rises as the case may be. I took a photo one morning of a sunrise that looked like the sky was on fire, flames engulfing flames all the way back to the horizon. It's those days and times that inspire us to awe. This sounds like a sunrise on a beach somewhere. I've known some of those to be mesmerizing. I like the abalone or mother of pearl description. Those lovely bivalves are color catchers for sure. Try not to step on any stranded jellyfish out there. Vivid descriptions. I enjoyed the read.

It must be great to wake up feeling this good. The speaker here sees a whole spectrum of brilliant colors: flamingo pink horizons, azure turquoise skies, aqua waves, etc. Everything but the amber waves of grain, and I'm sure they'll pop up later. Whatever you're smoking, I want some of it.

Just smoking life my friend, just smoking life. : ) Thanks so much John.
I loved the teal ocean and aqua waves. I simply adored the lemon zest of the new day. You certainly make the world appear like a shining pot of gold and morning the most beautiful time of the day. What feelgood magic you create with words!

My pleasure..
Well I was going to ask if you were having a flashback to the sixties, but seeing as how my new avatar is a coloured sky of greens, reds and purples over Scotland only just last week... No comment and no further questions your honour! 😊
Ahh, the sixties! What a psychedelic show they were (I was 18 months old when they ended) but I hear really good things about them, like free love and.... FREE LOVE? How did that not catch on? 😊

I tell you, there's nothing more beautiful than mother nature. Her colors are so vivid and bright. The sky is a perpetual canvas that changes every day, and it is never the same. The colors of sunrise and sunset, in particular, are just amazing. You painted a picture with your words, beautiful and bright. Well done.
