Sometimes we just can't find the music within ourselves, even with the best musical instruments around. The soul hits rock bottom and the keys just freeze. We weep for all that's lost. A beautiful, poetic expression of sorrow and longing. I loved the subtle rhyming and flowing verses.

I get you absolutely, dear Will. But keep trying to play the music. The universe never ignores.
I can almost hear those storm clouds gather, as your soundless guitar plays hopes of yesterday and what they mean for today, as well as tomorrow.
These days all my hopes amount to are being better or less hellish than they have been of late. But that might just be put down to a lesser thoughted covid hangover. 😊

Thanks Lorry, I do really appreciate your support of my work. Also, I rarely understand the metaphors that competent poets, such as yourself, constantly use, instead I write and relate in black and white.
Using my basic understandability in relating to your write, I am sure this is just a pause in your endless ability to create, that will soon be flourishing again
(Note: no metaphors used in my review)

And I'll bet you didn't even use a capo. This is a meloncholy poem to me with a lot of good metaphors playing throughout. Those minor chords always sound a bit sad.
Well done.
