Lullaby in the Key of Dreams

Lullaby in the Key of Dreams

A Poem by willweb

~

Shadows of affection

sway together beneath

an ivory moon,

floating in the ecstasy

of this symphonic evening

composed of stardust melodies

Euphoric sonatas

waft in slumbering tempos,

fueling fantasies

while acoustic sighs glisten

‘pon candlelit promises sent

on down pillow whispers

Twilight concertos

shimmer along a horizon’s

wishes as wind swept

desires dance between

blushing tree lines

and satin sheet quivers

As piano music softly plays,

echoing harmonic measures

neath a weary ebon sky

where two silhouettes in love

slowly fade off to a

lullaby in the key of dreams

What a beautiful end to the weary day! Theres nothing like the music of togetherness. The weary ebon sky faded into a dream. Absolutely gorgeous poetry!

And yours too, dear Willweb!
Keep writing such wonderful poetry.
dear will web... the melodies of
yester-year... when we sang
in the Key of Dreams. Perfect harmony.

Thank you so very much Pat.
A piano melody and a lovely poem; you can't beat them. I listened to the music; masterfully done. Your words and keys are dreamy.

Will visit more. Busy lately. You are welcome.
Very musical, mystical, soft, and somewhat hypnotic. I loved the last line "slowly fade off to a lullaby in the key of dreams". It seems a lullaby. Very comforting in its tranquility.

Thanks so very much my friend.
Your musical skills are amazing... and the words you created go so well together; you put me into a dream-like state, of twilight concertos," neath a weary Ebon sky"; this piece is heavenly with the most vivid images; it's mesmerizing!!!
Beautiful Will!
Best, B

Thanks Pete. Glad you enjoyed this.
Some people can be just a little too talented ya know will 😊
Usually I'm just impressed with your words but now musical accompaniment too. What next? Singing or spoken word? But then again, maybe your like me and sound like Shrek gargling with gravel.
You'd be amazed how many vocal coaches and elocutionists I make cry, but only if you'd never heard my dulcet tones before.
But at least I can make any kid or baby laugh just by shouting the word "Donkey!" 😊
Musically and lyrically, your title is awesome and goes so well together.
I am suitably impressed.
