Lullaby in the Key of Dreams

Lullaby in the Key of Dreams

A Poem by willweb

~

Shadows of affection

sway together beneath

an ivory moon,

floating in the ecstasy

of this symphonic evening

composed of stardust melodies

Euphoric sonatas

waft in slumbering tempos,

fueling fantasies

while acoustic sighs glisten

‘pon candlelit promises sent

on down pillow whispers

Twilight concertos

shimmer along a horizon’s

wishes as wind swept

desires dance between

blushing tree lines

and satin sheet quivers

As piano music softly plays,

echoing harmonic measures

neath a weary ebon sky

where two silhouettes in love

slowly fade off to a

lullaby in the key of dreams

I really did! And you’re welcome!
Both your music and words offer such a gentle, peaceful and very welcome view of emotions, willweb. Does your music come first, I wonder, is there a trigger for whichever comes first Curiosity. Could happily listen over and over whilst reading phrases such as, ' acoustic sighs glisten - ‘pon candlelit promises sent - on down pillow whispers.. ' The repetitive 'ripples' truly are joyful as they move onwards into deeper waters.

Such a lovely composition. One element relates so strongly to the other and all picks itself out in the reader/listeners experience.

Thanks so very much Ken. I am happy you liked this.
This is a lovely composition, both the word and the music. The beginning notes indeed sound like stardust sprinkles, twinkles in a lover's eye. The conclusion is just as beautiful ... slowly fading off to a lullaby in the key of dreams. There can be no sweeter dream than this. We are lucky to have you here. Thank you.

My absolute pleasure. Thank you for the gift of you.
Agile fingers needed for that clarity! Smooth yet rippling, lovely, Could hear the stars twinkling - yet throughout, calm as calm - pianissimo. Finishing with the echoes of those magical words.
What a beautiful world ours would be with this kind of music instead of the chaos in elevators and stores! That from a woman who enjoys electric guitars! Many thanks for sharing this with your friends, willweb. Your playing is first class, your words delightful.
