It sounds like a piece of heaven, far beyond the clouds....where all is silver untouched, whispering gold and sonnets divine. I wish every morning was blessed with such beauty of words...

This one took off like a sparrow, soaring. I enjoyed the read. I'm a big fan of birds. I'm no J.J. Audubon but I like to sketch them.

These words are so vivid, immediately bringing an image to my mind of a little child chasing butterflies right off the edge of a cliff. Complete innocence slipping right of the edge. Wonderful!

Thanks so much my friend. Just little morning lightheartedness. : )
I have a weakness for poetry that either speaks directly of nature or uses it as metaphor. I also very much have a weakness for any mention of sparrows. While I don't have said poems on here, I have used the sparrow as a recurring character in my poetry before, not merely as a small bird, but as a guide, a teacher, a friend. The line "singing a lone sparrow's sonnet" reminds me of a piece I wrote once called 'Learning How to Sing from Sparrow', and it was more of a instruction on love rather than practicing scales, chords, notes. Something tells me that sparrow's sonnet is very much in the same vein, a song of love to us all.

Either way, I appreciate your nice comment on my little piece here. I don't often use the sparrow in my poetry, normally it will be a bluebird, but sparrow just felt better in this. I am glad you enjoyed this.
