In a playground of mud

In a playground of mud

One time I made friends with a pig

He had the most wonderful gig

In a playground of mud

My new friend went thud

I’ll tell you, that sucker was big

Then one day it seemed he was shaken

I realized that he was mistaken

I said, have no fear

I’d rather have beer

And really don’t care much for bacon

He went back to playing again

Then got on his knees in his pen

He looked to the sky

And let out a sigh

I swear that pig grunted “amen”

What a wonderful pig-tale. ;) There's usually two aren't there? I'll be on lookout for the other one. I enjoyed the read! If you ever take a pig to a formal function by sure to straighten his sty. (smile)

Happy Tuesday and thrilled this one brought you a chuckle and a smile. : )
"look at all the little piggies with their piggy wives, you can see them out for dinner, clutching forks and knives...to eat their bacon"
or, maybe they will just drink beer...yes, better idea.

Gotta love a little Beatles tossed into the mix. : ) Thanks Jacob
very funny 'I know it's only will'

I knew his bud who lived in a bog
He and that pig tried downing some grog
But he had some gall
By drinking it all
And I think he was really a hog

So I bought your pig some soda pop
Talk bout guzzle, he wouldn’t stop
But after slurpin
He started burpin
Till last thing I heard was a kaplop

Thank you so very much Carola. I am happy you liked this.
I've never understood why they are called Limericks, but I do love the unforced musical quality of them.
It's just as well youre not much into bacon then, or he might have been for the chop. I've too went off bacon ever since I saw a Korean movie called Okja, where it was slaughtered and on the shelf in minutes.
I never thought I'd ever be veggie, mainly due to bacon, but it's the after smell of cooking it that started getting to me. Plus, veggie haggis is actually as good as "normal" haggis and way less disgusting.
So yay for Porkie 😊
